ITTV RETURNS TO THE LIDO

ITTV International Forum and TechInEntertainment returns to the Lido of Venice during the 82nd Venice International Film Festival

Two panels spotlighting Italian creativity in the global context, a new partnership with DICM to strengthen international ties, and an award celebrating the most original collaborations

ITTV International Forum and TechInEntertainment announce, during their participation in the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, a program featuring two panels dedicated to Italian creativity and intuition for the glocal market in television and cinema, along with two major highlights: the partnership with DICM – Dubai International Content Market and the presentation of the ITTV/Kineo Award to Bottega Orafa Penko, a renowned Florentine jewelry atelier recognized for its craftsmanship excellence.

The first panel, scheduled for Saturday, August 31 at 3:00 p.m. at the Italian Pavilion, is an exclusive conversation titled “Iginio Straffi: Italian Creativity Speaks to the World.” The creator of Winx Club and founder of the Rainbow Group will reflect on thirty years of career milestones spanning animation and new editorial challenges, including the acquisition of the production company Colorado. Joining him in conversation will be Chiara Sbarigia, President of APA – Associazione Produttori Audiovisivi, to discuss the role of Italian animation and live action in the global marketplace.

The second panel, also on August 31 at 5:00 p.m. at the Veneto Region/Veneto Film Commission space, is titled “Italian Visions, Global Destinations.” It will bring together leading industry figures to explore how Italian stories are making their mark worldwide through new narrative, production, and distribution strategies. Speakers include Elena Bucaccio (Head of Drama, Lux Vide), Raffaella Leone (CEO, Leone Film Group & Lotus Production), Nicole Morganti (Head of Local Originals Southern Europe, Amazon MGM Studios), and Marco Rosi (General Manager, Gaumont Italia).

“In 2025, the television and streaming industry is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by technological evolution and changing audience habits. In an increasingly glocal market, true success lies in the ability to create content that, while crossing global borders, speaks authentically to the culture, language, and emotions of individual territories,” notes Valentina Martelli, CEO and founder of ITTV alongside Cristina Scognamillo.

“At ITTV, we are ready to embrace these challenges with vision, creativity, and openness to innovation. We believe in a future where technology amplifies storytelling and where every audience — wherever they are — can see themselves in stories that are at once universal and deeply local.”

ITTV is also happy to announce that Mila — the multi award-winning animated short about a little girl’s survival during World War II and a powerful message against all current wars — will be released worldwide on September 2nd, the 80th anniversary of the end of the war, across InsVrgence’s 57 YouTube channels. The film was first announced during ITTV 2021.
