Due to the COVID pandemic in 2020 ITTV moved its edition to Italy with an event held during the Venice International Film Festival, in collaboration with the historic Kineo Award.
The first recipient of ITTV/Kineo Award was the Executive Producer Martha De Laurentiis. The actor, Mads Mikkelsen, received the award on her behalf for the TV series Hannibal.
